The sleek F-14 Tomcat is a long range interceptor built by Grumman. Designed as
an air superiority aircraft, the F-14 features an awesome array of advanced
weapons systems. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Turbo-Fan engines, the
mighty Tomcat utilizes the high thrust of its' engines and variable sweep wings
to achieve an incredible degree of agility, as well as a Top Speed in excess of
MACH 1.5. Firepower ranges from an internal M61A1 Vulcan Cannon to lethal Hughes
Phoenix air intercept missiles. Carried on two aerodynamic fairings, the Phoenix
has a range better than 100 miles. The Tomcat is also equipped with AIM-7
Sparrow Missiles and AIM-9 Sidewinders. The fire control radar provides target
tracking and range data for a complete array of weapons. This kit contains
Diecut Balsa Parts, Vacuum Formed Plastic Parts and a Clear Plastic Canopy. Also
included is an authentic Military Marking Decal Sheet, Balsa Strips and Blocks
as needed,
with instructions for a moveable wing,
static display or catapult launch flying model.
