Class A or B. Uses the Box and Former method of construction. Designed for .49 to .15 engines. Wing area of 306 square inches. 

This model was designed and drawn by Ray Smith in 1939. Our reissue contains an added insert for the port wing. The prototype engine was the very light Atwood Phantom. It weighed 3.5 oz. and produced 1/7 hp. at 6500 rpm. The Hornet is a first-class sport model and a potent contest airplane. 

This free flight gas powered model kit contains full-size rolled plans, instructions, highest quality balsa sheet wood and stripwood, hardwood, wire, tissue covering, and clear sheet plastic. You will need a engine, fuel tank, fuel, propeller, and wheels.
