This is a complete kit and includes all the materials necessary to construct a flying scale model of one of the three versions of Turner’s race plane, the ’37 Ring Free, the ’38 Pesco Special or the ’39 Champion. We put hand-selected light weight balsa, a propeller, wheels, rubber, Easy Built Lite colored tissue, vacuum-formed wheel pants and canopy, and peel and stick decals for all three versions. The kit is based on the 1939 Easy Built Models’ plan but has been updated to reflect today’s designs and materials. This is standard stick and tissue construction utilizing the Box and Former method of construction. The kit is eligible for SAM and Flying Aces Club events including Old Time kit, Thompson Races, Golden Age, and FAC Scale. Roscoe Turner is the only three time winner of the Thompson Trophy Race which he won in 1938 and 1939 in his Meteor race plane.
