The Curtiss Robin is a 1/33 scale, SAM qualified flying model. Curtiss Airplane produced the popular Curtiss Robin mail plane until 1932. Douglas "Wrong-Way" Corrigan flew the Curtiss Robin J-1 Special airplane in 1943. He wanted permission to fly nonstop from NY to Ireland but was refused. Instead he got "lost" after leaving NY and ended up in Ireland.
