The D-12 Taube is a 1/20 scale display model of the famous, bird shaped aircraft from the early pioneer days.
Designed by Austrian, Igo Etrich, the Taube was used by the Germans in WWI for reconnaissance/training. Etrich's first Taube was built in 1910. The Taube was a precursor of the nimble fighters of WWI. This kit is a model of the most widely produced version, the 1913 two-seat military monoplane.
This display kit contains a full-size rolled plan, building instructions, printed balsa wood, hand-picked balsa stripwood, dowels, wire, and Easy Built Lite colored tissue. You will need a building board, pins, hobby knife, sandpaper, and glue. The builder determines the level of detail for this model and may need to supply additional materials.
