The Silver Dart is a Canadian pioneer airplane, 1/24 scale display model with open fuselage design.
Flown in 1909, the Silver Dart was the first powered flight in Canada. Designed by the Aerial Experiment Association, a team which included Alexander Graham Bell, Glenn Curtiss, Douglas McCurdy and other distinguished minds. It was also the first time a water-cooled engine was used in an airplane.
This display kit contains a full-size plan, building instructions, hand-picked balsa wood, and Easy Built Lite colored tissue. You will need a building board, pins, hobby knife, sandpaper, and glue. The builder determines the level of detail for this model and may need to supply additional materials.
