CA-04 Pitcairn Fleetwing
The Fleetwing biplane was designed for the fixed base operator for use as both
trainer and passenger hopper. It was well suited for the latter in that the
economical OX-5 engine cut costs, and the two-passenger front cockpit doubled
gross profits. The good performance of this handsome ship can be credited to the
clean installation of the engine and radiator - very neat for 1926.
Designed by Dave Stott, this model qualifies for Flying Aces Club events: Dime
Scale, FAC Scale, and Golden Age Scale. Manufactured by Easy Built Models for
the Classic Aircraft Model Company. The prototype weighed 18.1 grams ready to
fly.
This
free flight rubber powered model airplane kit includes a full-size rolled plan,
building and flying instructions, printed balsa, hand-picked balsa strip wood,
Easy Built Lite tissue in yellow and black, rubber motor, propeller, wheels
and clear plastic for the windshield.
