BMJ-B-124 Country Boy
The 1/2A Country Boy, designed by Jim Clem in 1976, was published in the March
1977 issue of Model Aviation. It was reported to by the ideal compromise for
1/2A Free Flight. With a relatively high aspect ratio (7.5 to 1), a good gliding
airfoil, the model is small enough to climb swiftly and yet glide well with a
target weight of 7 oz. The Country Boy has been chosen by the national Free
flight Society for one-design competition at the 2010 Nationals, flown to
Nostalgia Rules, using any Nostalgia legal engine or TD .049-051. 46" span
